Component Flow Editor Guide [CBESB 1.0]
The heart of a ChainBuilder ESB configuration is performed in the Component Flow Editor. This guide describes the various options and settings, and provides introductory how-to help for a user starting to use the IDE.
Custom Component Guide [CBESB 1.1]
Use ChainBuilder ESB to create custom Binding Components and Service Engines. Learn how to use the project wizard to build the framework for a new component. The wizard gathers information about the components setup and generates a new Java project. Most of the "plumbing" for the component is generated, leaving the developer to concentrate on the core logic. The project also creates a configuration jar file allowing the new component to be manipulated in the Component Flow Editor.
Map Editor Guide [CBESB 1.0]
Data transformation in ChainBuilder ESB is configured through the Map Editor. The Map Editor performs mappings of data between a variety of different data formats, and includes advanced logic capabilities, such as conditional and looping structures.
Message Format Editor Guide [CBESB 1.0]
ChainBuilder ESB’s Message Format Editor allows for the creation and modification of fixed, delimited, and hierarchical message formats. This document provides an easy reference to the construction of these various message formats.
X12 and HL7 Editor Guide [CBESB 1.1]
ChainBuilder ESB comes pre-loaded with many standard X12 and HL7 formats. The X12 Editor and the HL7 Editor allow for the modification of existing message formats or the creation of new formats. This guide demonstrates the creation of an X12 and HL7 variant (modification to an existing format).
ETL User Guide [CBESB 1.2]
ETL is an acronym for Extract, Transform and Load, such that there is data extraction and/or loading to a relational database. The ChainBuilder ESB ETL Component allows the user to define connections to a particular database and generate an XML schema that can be used to extract data from a database or to load data into a database.
Admin Console Guide [CBESB 1.2]
This web interface provides remote access to perform management tasks, like install components, deploy applications and view server runtime log files, to manage and control run-time JBI components and other ChainBuilder ESB server modules.
Reference Guide [CBESB 1.0.1]
The reference guide includes a top-to-bottom discussion of ChainBuilder ESB Installation (Windows and Linux), Configuration, Command Line Interface, the service layer (CCSL), Transformation, Binding Components, and Service Engines material.
Use Case Files
ChainBuilder ESB Use Cases provide the user with step-by-step instructions to perform some common tasks within the IDE. These examples consist of instructions and any needed sample files. It is suggested for the user to read the Getting Started Guide prior to attempting one of the Use Cases.
